I've posted some pics of DD's wedding on Idiotville. It was a happy, wonderful RECOVERED AND HAPPY FAMILY day - in fact it was a wonderful weekend all round. Rob and I had time to enjoy ourselves as well when we weren't doing "wedding" stuff.

Thank you! lol, it's tempting to be snarky and say that you can see that some marriages are irrecoverable, FWWs are irredeemable and happiness will never return (a view posted on MB sometimes wink )

Something else. Rob gave the BEST father of the bride speech EVER. I was so proud of him - it was brilliant and funny and witty - I had a huge smile on my face through the whole speech. Now, is that someone who is "holding back or controlling themselves" or whatever?

LMAOPMP!!!!!!!! rotflmao

Seriously, Mel, the whole thing was just wonderful. The wedding was at a vineyard on an island and we took the car ferry across on Friday morning for the rehearsal. We had a bbq on the beach that evening, then all day Saturday getting our hair and makeup done. It was so cute on Saturday morning. DD joined us in bed just like when she was little, then all the bridesmaids trooped in and we were all giggling and laughing. Saturday evening was the wedding and we stayed until the very end (1.00am!!!). Sunday was a bbq at the in laws who live on the island and then Rob and I stayed over on Sunday night and had a lovely time blush

Back to Auckland on Monday afternoon.

Gorgeous pictures, Jen!

Your daughter is an absolutely beautiful bride, and I think she takes after her mama!

Just so wonderful Jen!!!

Isn't it just so wonderful to see your daughter & family so happy?

I am so so happy for you and your family and you all look just wonderful.

It made my heart sing to see my DD & SIL so much in love.... or was that that holding back or controlling myself or whatever??? grin
And she knows all about MB and stuff as well ..... SIL is still working on the POJA thing though .... you know like volunteering for another tour etc ..... some men

Precious moments Jen ..... lovely to see so much happiness on MB

The weather was overcast and started to drizzle just at the end of the ceremony - but we all moved indoors and it didn't really matter once we were inside and all the photos had been taken. It never did rain properly. If we'd had the sun that had been around for the weeks prior to the wedding it would have been too hot.

We nearly baked to death during the rehearsal the day before.

And thanks. It was a wonderful, joyous, happy family day.
