Well, in spite of the ride of my life, with all it's twists and turns and ups and downs, here I find myself today, much to my incredible disbelief, celebrating my 39th wedding anniversery with the women I met at 16 yo and said to myself, "she's the one."

Incredible where life's path takes you. If we had a crystal ball and could look into the future, we probably would not have bought the ticket, but near the end of the ride, you realize that ticket was the best investment you could have ever made in your lifetime.

Having said that, I would buy that ticket again in a heartbeat. Cos I learned that true love will endure hardships, but, will also be blessed with more gifts than trials.

I have two wonderful grown sons and a beautiful new grandson who carries my surname and a wife who tirelessly never stops giving her all for me and the family.

What more could a man ask for?

If I die tommorow it will be as a happy man who has been blessed far beyond anything I deserved. I'm speechless.

Thank you Lord for putting me with the partner you chose!!!

As always, YOU know best.

Blessings to all of you today,
Jerry

Thanks, JL, Mel, and Armymama.

I guess you could call this a Lifetime! grin

Granted, I might want to change a few things along the way, but in total, I'm quite pleased where we are now and feel like a winner in the overall race.

going out tonight with W and have some fun. Who knows, even at my age, I might get lucky. blush

Even at my age, I feel like a kid again tonight, and I think she does too. Wish me luck. rotflmao

All Blessings,
Jerry

It's great that you created this thread. Sometimes the new folks get so overwhelmed by the fear and desperation of the dark days, that hearing a happy upbeat post from a recovered person like yourself, well, it's just priceless.

Enjoy your evening and don't throw out your back, old guy.

congrats Jerry,

Reminds me of the quote I found outside a hostel while my wife and I were hiking on the Appalachian Trail (we do a 10 day section each year).

Quote
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well preserved body, but to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, wow what a ride.
