I'm back from giving blood. Blood pressure was something like 118/79. I just saved the lives of 3 or 4 people!

giving blood is a wonderful gift and the right thing to do!!! Need more of it.

I can't give it now cause the sign says 'we recognise that service personnel returning from war zones may carry infectious diseases. Spouses & service personnel should obtain medical clearances before donating blood."

its a nice way of saying "lov your hubby may have bought home the clap or something worse." stark but sadly true. It happens.

One mister had better not, bugger MB, I have scalpels. naughty

However he's a bit of a wuzz about doctors 'I just want to be left alone ok' geeze whats the big deal?
He has to get the full pre deployment check out Friday morning in any event.
Of course he just opens his mouth to change feet - 'I don't trust docs they want to stick things into me all the bloody time'.
I let that one go. Did the 'Yes Dear' thing. And took the edge off the scalpels - blunt is best rotflmao

Taking Mr. C to have his wart burnt off again this morning. That would be the second time in general, not the second time this morning.

His therapist says it's his worry-wart. laugh

Aussie cut a wart off his hand as a kid ... then seared it with a cig lighter.

Why I hear you ask???

No idea however I have felt for some years that a therapist should be asking such questions.

did I actually write that? blush me bad .... LB

Hope Mr C's wart doesn't come back this time.
I got rid of my own wart - got sick of having it.
Didn't go to the Dr.
Tried the "burn it off" in a bottle, but that didn't work.
Kept trimming it down with nail clippers, but it always came back.
Not now though, not now.

Aussie did a great post on mikec2's thread. I hope he acts as well as he talks.

It is always enjoyable to read what (and how) all of you are doing. Thanks.

Still packing up, and selling off the remains of our business.
Any one need a desk?

Great jokes T&L. Put a smile on my face.
Cinderella, thanks for getting involved in things, and helping people. You are a good example.

I know the rest of you help people too - but you know what I meant.

Oh well, I best get back to work.

Anyone who might be trying to call me, don't worry if you don't get through. Once again, with this latest round of rain, the dial tone is absent. (No, the phone is not shut off.)

Every time I've called for help before, they needed to have their tech check it while it was experiencing the transient, storm-related problems. By the time they got out a couple days later, the line had dried and was doing fine.

Now I can't even call and complain. :crosseyedcrazy:

Neak, the story about Grandpa and the tv reminds me of the time, when DD18 was a tot, that we got her a toy cellphone and her dad's even-less-brilliant brother (in his mid40s) couldn't figure out how to make a call on it.

Thanks for the prayers Rella ... those poor fire victims need a lot of it. I had to stop watching the tv coverage .. it was horrific... kids frantically looking for mum or dad... mum or dad looking for the kids .. and some will not find them. so tragic.

AW, I want to email you, but life keeps intruding on my important computer time!!! frown If IRL people (and you know who you are!) would JUST LEAVE ME ALONE I might be able to get something important done with my cyber-buddies. What is with this anyway?

my 2 little song birds came prancing in not long ago.

while not bursting with happiness or fun they were a bit brighter .... Red Cross just told them that they expect the Bushfires Appeal to raise $100M which is just amazing.
