I just can't give it to her.

I no longer trust women.

I think I can guess what it is. Tell me, what WOULD you like for valentines? (yes, this is a cheap underhanded way to get ideas but I'm really stumped)

Are you saying that you don't trust your GF, Pariah? You can't marry -her- because you don't trust women = not trusting her either.

For what you've been through, I can't blame your lack of trust. Is she understanding of this?

I have a friend (neighbor) who is divorced and lives alone. He just broke up with the girl he was seeing for the last couple of years. He's 49, she is 29 or 30. She wants an M and kids, and he won't do it. He said he was honest with her about that from the beginning, but he thinks she thought he'd change his mind eventually.

He says he loves her, but he has no faith in marriage in anymore either. He says he cut her loose to try and find it with someone else.

I just want to go out for supper.

I'd want an iPod if I were to get a gift.

LIAR!

There's only one answer when a significant other asks a man what he wants as a gift for any holiday!

Wrong holiday BC. You're thinking of March 14th. It's the men's version of Valentine's Day. hurray

EDIT: I'd better add a tag that the link might not be work safe.

No, that link is definitely not safe... LOL... I was reading my wife's blog where she was commenting about how I never remember what day Valentine's Day is (as in which date it is). One of her commenters said I'd remember if she told me about March 14th. Curious at work, I ran a search for "March 14th" and before you know it, the Coast Guard's cyber filters started going CRAZY! lol... Bad move on my part!

Dang! I was trying to post that all day yesterday. At least the version that my radio DJ (Rod Ryan, 94.5 The Buzz) has been talking about for the last 4 years. Can't access your link, so don't know where it comes from.

He also just had his annual Mile o' Meat today. 25 guys sign up and stand along a main street with a t-shirt with a number on it, the day before VD. The girls drive by on the way to work, and then call in and ask for whichever guy they like. The DJ gets to match up the guys with girls. Then they all meet at a local club tonight for a free party, to see what happens. That way, if they like each other, they can get together tomorrow for Valentines Day so they'll at least have a date.

In the 4 years since he's been here, we've gotten one marriage, some engagements, and several kids out of the pairings. So fun.

Anyway, you didn't say. Why don't you trust her, and what did she want? Or was that just a joke?

Wait, I only needed to do that on March 14th? Huh. Mike implied that it was every morning before work.

I am confused at what you all are actually talking about. I thought maybe it was 'White Day' in Japan. In Japan, on Valentine's day women get men a gift. One month later, March 14, the men get women something in return.

But, from the sounds of it, maybe this is not what you all refer..... grin. Not to worry, though, I do not get easily offended.

Hope all of you have a Happy Valentine's Day

LOL Grind

Considering who I received the email from...I'm not at all surprised that he had something negative to say about it.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!! grin
