Has anyone seen this movie? It's a comedy with Meg Ryan and some others... pretty good movie. It's definitely a chick flick. I watched it tonight and liked it. It's about a woman who's husband has an affair and how she and her friends/family deal with it. Some of the stuff sounded an awful lot like MB and I was wondering if they might have gotten some of it from here.

It covers her doing almost a Plan B, the OW being manipulative, the young daughter's angst about her parents breaking up, and a lot more. Watch it and see if you don't recognize MB philosophies sprinkled throughout.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

It was kind of a plan B, but they didn't pick it up from MBs. It is a remake of "The Women" made in the late 1930s. Rent the original movie or try to catch it on Turner Classic Movie Channel. It stars Norma Shearer(BW), Joan Crawford (OW), and Rosalind Russell (Annette Benning's character). I think the original is much funnier. Be warned, though, there is an especially cheesy final shot of Mary's "reunion" with her husband. grin

It's a remake of an earlier 1930's B&W film

In the first film, there was one color sequence - the fashion show .... (weird)

The first one is available on Netflicks - check it out

PS - I liked the latest one so much I got the DVD

based on an original play

You're welcome.

If I remember correctly, there is only plan D and a continuous plan A in the original movie. Let me know what you think if you have the chance to watch it.
