My birdy is number one.

I heard the sound of what I thought was a beaver coming from the closet today.

This was the culprit. laugh

LOL Pariah. I am a bird lover too. I have a bunch of finches in a flight cage outside. The funny thing is my kitty guards them from the neighborhood cats. My kitty is used to them, but drives out other cats that want to watch them.

What a beautiful bird!

What kind is it? The name of its kind is on the tip of my tongue, I just can't remember... think

And also, a cat who guards birds? I was always told that dogs could be trained to ignore birds but cats would not ignore that instinct.

Wow to beating the odds.

I will not spend my life this way.

LOL, apparently you can't state the name of the bird - because the first 4 letters get sensored. Too funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI ALL!!!! Thankyou guys for all the love well we did really well...the judges were astounded when they learned we only had her 2 months and found her at the SPCA.

She did whats called a sweep. Took Best houseold pet in 6 out of 6 rings. Very rare for a cat to do that.

Here is a pic of her and her winnings:

Good job, SIHW!!!!

I got my kitty 15 years ago when someone dumped him off at my work - which is out in the wilds with the coyotes. He was around the building for several months, and ate out of the dumpster - sandwiches and stuff. He is the best cat in the world.

He guards my birds from other cats, but gets along good with them if they leave the birds alone, likes dogs, and lets the neighborhood kids pick him up and drag him around, and dress him up. He wakes me up in the morning at 0530, except on weekends. I can't imagine anyone abandoning him.

What a sweeetie! you should post a pic of him. Maybe he was a guard dog in another life? When ever we go to petsmart we always have to make a trip by the birds on the way in and one on the way out....my girl can sit and watch them for hours.

Now there is a little sun conure who is in love with me...tries to regurgitate for me and comes down to see me and talk to me when we come by. Very sweet but I would never own one...they are noisy and when they throw a temper tantrum they fling food from there cage. I have always wanted an amazon tho...I raised 2 of them when I worked for a pet shop many moons ago. One was really attatched to me.

I miss my kitty boy I used to have he was a big 16 lb boy. He was like a small dog...came when called sat and begged on command.

the little DIVA is asleep on my legs currently...she's been a mommy whore today.
