Pariah, mercedes says it is the ignition system. How expensive can that be?

You said it's a diesel?
I guess they meant the key switch.
The switch is only around $30, but the whole lock assembly is around $200.
My guess the lock and tumbler is bad, which is Mercedes only and I have no idea what they'd want for one.
Best bet is to find one used and have it put in.

If you have time, and are still agreeable, could you call my son and clarify with him. You might be able to get more information. He felt like the woman talking to him didn't know anything and was just guessing.

That was so nice of you, truly. He is actually an amazing kid. He's got his plan and will follow through tomorrow. If WH would only pay me child and spousal support I would be good to go.  Thank you so much.

My landlady's brother just gave her son an old Pathfinder.
He's doing alot better after his beating from his stepmother.
Anyways I asked him if he knew how to work on the truck and he said no. I told him I'd teach him how to work on cars.
He was thrilled as he wants it ready when he starts driving soon.
He gets a car and I get to teach a boy to work on cars.
*sigh*

Then it's one more thing your kids missed out on. WH actually taught the kids alot about cars and they were always hanging out working on them. My OS wanted to be a diesel mechanic like his dad, but then he turns out to be the one to expose the A and now.... SIGH..... Too bad you don't live closer, I would send them over. You are very kind and generous to have helped me. You know, we never know what we will or won't get to do until the fat lady sings. Remember, we are all still dressing....
