Poor Sean Penn just can't help himself.
Instead of being gracious he politicized his win, as expected.
Don't get me wrong, he is a great talent.
He's also an egotistical tool.

I compare the political posturing done by actors during an industry event to the parent who comes to a school event and tries to sell Amway or Tupperware products to the other parents. Bad taste. Bad manners. Egotistical blindness to the inappropriateness of their behavior.
I cannot imagine myself being so rude as to pontificate upon my political opinions to a woman during her pap smear.

Oh, I dunno. They are actors after all. They act. They play to the audience. And they will play for as long as the audience laps it up.
Can you imagine an actor or actress up there saying something good about right to life? Or proclaiming the evil of adultery and maybe saying something positive about MB?
Heaven forbid, the audience would sit dumbfounded. So those consummate actors never will do such a non-pc thing.
It's all posturing.
PS: I did not watch the Oscars. I find it boring.

What was bothersome to me was Sean left out someone I thought would be important in his Thank You's, namely his wife (aka family).
For me, that missing "Thank You" was glaringly and disrespectfully absent.
I now think he's a big turd.
