I loved it, but it made me sad about how cruel people can be. The audience was making faces, Simon was his usual self, and all based only on her looks.

This actually made it onto the news this morning, primarily because of the looks everyone gave her before her song. What a beautiful voice she has. A couple of thousand spent on her to 'pretty' her up and she will win, and get her kiss

I absolutely adore Les Mis and when I saw this on a site that I frequent, I was ecstatic. Her voice is beautiful and perfect for this song. Patti Lupone did the original London recording, but I think this woman blew her out of the water. It was amazing!

I showed it to Spartan last night and we both watched in awe. The UK papers described her as looking like a garage. Cruel how much people place emphasis on the way people look.
I see it all of the time when I'm out with my half sister who is Down's Syndrome. They stare constantly but yet they don't even know how kind and gentle she is. In many ways, I think that it's not her that is retarded, but them.

Kinda reminds me of Janis Joplin. She was no looker either. Her life was so, so sad, even though she achieved riches and fame. If you ever get the chance, read her biography, "The Rose". What a wasted life and so much pain.

What is the name of the blonde judge in the middle? Her expression showed respect from the first second. Quite unique among the rest of the audience and judges.
Remarkable, given that she was a beauty, but seems not at all impressed with her own looks, but appears to be focussed upon talent, and showed interest and courtesy.
Susan Boyle walked like a lady. A genuine lady. And walked away the same way.

This reminds me of a couple of years ago on American Idol with Clay Aiken. When he walked out for his initial audition, he was the geekiest, nerdiest looking guy you've ever seen and then, he opened his mouth and this collosal voice came out--it was incredible. I loved him!!! And, I hope this Susan lady wins this competition!!!
