...If at all possible Sometime ago I read somewhere a statement that essentially said that as long as a husband can provide the same if not better financial support/accustomed lifestyle for his wife that she had while living with her father, she will be essentially happy, as her need for FS will be filled. Now I think I may have read it in the first copy of HNHN I got from the library, which was about 25 years old. The copy I have at home was printed in 2007 and has some changes from the first one. However I could be entirely mistaken and have obtained the quote from another source. I do not wish to debate the rights and wrongs of the quote here, there is already a thread on it on the EN board, I just want to find the original. Thanx

I read that too. I have SAA, Fall in Love, Stay in Love, and HNHN. It was in one of them....
BS - me 56 XWH - 57
12/25/06 - Dday - WH promised NC. Plan A in effect. Thought we were in recovery.
6-3-07 - Dday#2 Found out NC never took place and A never ended. Found MB NC promised again, but WH would not write NC letter.
9/07 - Dday #3. Still lying and sneaking around. Plan B implemented WH wants nothing to do with me
Divorced as of 12/09 after 36 years

Thanx Chai. I was starting to think I had gone mad...
I have SAA, HNHN, LB, and DTM but cannot find it in them which is why I suspect it was in the much older version of HNHN I got from the library, 11 months ago

There used to be a quote (do not know where it originated) which referred to when a man asked for a woman's hand by her father and he said:
"that he must treat her in the manner in which she is accustomed" or something to that effect.
