Some of you may remember my sister. She was on here for a short time during my ordeal. She also came on seeking help as the WS....posted under Godishelpingme and another name.

Anyway, she hasn't been feeling well and went to the Dr. They found a mass on her one of her ovaries. The mass cyst is a solid mass and is very large. She has a Dr. appt. monday to discuss the findings and where to go from there. It doesn't look good, but we are all being prayerful and hopeful.....

Our families have been through much the last couple of years, dealing with the affairs and the seperation of our parents, and the timing of this just stinks.....BUT whatyagonnado????

Anyway, I would appreciate the prayers and thoughts of her and her family as they walk this journey....

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.....

hug I'm in too, sweet friend. hug

prayer for healing

God, hear my prayer,
And let my cry come to You.
Do not hide from me in the day of my distress
Turn to me and speedily answer my prayer.
Eternal God, Source of healing,
Out of my distress I call upon You.
Help me sense Your presence
At this difficult time.
Grant me patience when the hours are heavy;
In hurt or disappointment give me courage.
Keep me trustful in Your love.
Give me strength for today, and hope for tomorrow.
To your loving hands I commit my spirit
When asleep and when awake. You are with me; I shall not fear.

Here are some others.

A Prayer
You are mighty, Lord, who brings healing to the sick,
You are great in granting salvation,
providing the living with sustenance, with lovingkindness,
caring for the sick with great mercies,
supporting the fallen, healing the sick,
releasing the captive,
and keeping faith with those who are lost among the living,
Who is like you, Master of mighty acts, and who compares to you,
King who restores health, and causes salvation to sprout,
You who are faithful, comforting the ill among us,
Blessed are You, Lord who heals the sick.

Prayer for healing
Hear my prayer, O Lord, heed my plea for mercy.
In time of trouble I call You, for You will answer me.
When pain and illness are my companions, let there be room in my heart for strength.
When the days and nights are filled with darkness, let the light of courage find its place.
Help me endure the suffering and dissolve the fear; renew within me the calm spirit of trust and peace.
Boruch Atah Adonai, Ro-fei HaCholim
We praise you, O God, Healer of the Sick

She and all your family will be in our prayers.

Thanks everyone.....I knew I could count on my "other family".... grin

It is an ovarian cyst, but its what they call a complicated cyst. It is not fluid filled, but a solid one. We won't know the findings until monday, and she will be having surgery of some sort (either to remove it or biopsy it....) sometime next week.....

So keep the prayers coming. She is young, only 31, and has two girls.

not2fun,

You have no idea who I am, but after D-Day and 4 months before I registered and posted here on MB, I read the pages and pages of your thread.

I went thru the ups and downs reading, learning, as much as a reader can.
Anyway, I'm happy that your M has been successful. I admire your spunk.

I will pray for your family.

Take care.

Vittoria,

Thank you for that. I'm glad my story was of help for you. I know I would have never made it thus far without the help I received here.......and I'm honored you call my marriage successful. I'm not sure I do YET, but then again, we are further along today than ANYBODY IRL thought we would be....

Thanks again everyone, and keep on praying....

She had her Dr. appt. this morning and so far it doesn't look like cancer. Her blood work came back good, but then again, you never know. At this point they are telling her they are 75% sure it isn't cancer, but could still be pre-cancerous.

She is having surgery tomorrow at 7am. They are not sure what will happen until they get in there and truly see what they are dealing with. She could end up with getting just the cyst/tumor out, or end up losing her ovary, or she could end up with a total hysterctomy depending on what they find.

The cyst is big enough, they won't be able to do it laproscopically, so she isn't thrilled with that. She is also upset because she just started a new job 7 weeks ago and now needs 6 weeks off.....

And she is also upset, because she needs to "clean" out her colon..... wink.....BUT

she is relieved at the news she has been related so far. It was a hard and long weekend for her, waiting for this Dr. appt.....

So keep on praying guys and thank you again from the bottom of my heart....

That is good news! So we need to pray now that when they get in there (and send off biopsy?) that it comes back clean? I can relate about waiting over the weekend for news, it's the pits.

Hello everyone....

Sis had her surgery yesterday. It was a bit more extensive than they thought it would be, but everything is good. She ended up having endometriosis. NO CANCER...... hurray

The endometriosis was extensive and had pushed her bladder and kidney together so much they were fusing together. They had to call in another surgeon to seperate those and put in two stints in the tube that connects those two so it wouldn't close shut when healing. She did lose her left overie and had lots of clean up work done, but other than that she will be fine.....in fact, she will be so good, that I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up pregnant soon......(endometriosis can cause infertility and they haven't used birth control in 9 years.......guess what my "get-well" present was????....yep, a HUGE box of condoms..... rotflmao)

So thank you all for the prayers.....I really appreciate them, as does she......
