I hope your W has sorted out her issues. My understanding of Bi-polar is that it makes recovery slightly more difficult, but not impossibe

This is called statutory rape - see MaryKay What's-Her-Name from QWashington - Oregon - wherever it was. If I were you, I'd call a lawyer NOW. As far as I know Bi-polar is not an excuse for having (or even considering having) sex with a minor. Your wife can be arrested for contributing to the deliquency of a minor because of the texts. I can't believe the school is trying to cover this up! As a teacher, I am disgusted.

Just wait till the family realizes they can sue and get money fo they!!! At this point she won't be able to be a teacher at at least in this school district. But if this comes out she will not be able to anywhere, Bipolar or not!!! If she ever teaches again and I don't think she should.....it should be at the 1-3 year grades only.
Have you talked with the school to get the real unedited version??

is a 9th grader and 14 years old. Ewwwweeee.....I'm sorry, but that's just gross. A grown woman and a 14 year old boy.  As a mother of a 15 year old son, if this was my son, I'd sue your wife and the school, and make d@mn sure that your WW never teaches again....as far as I'm concerned she's a sexual predator.  I would highly suggest that you and your W contact the Harley's on how to deal with this.

Honestly most people would just suggest that you move somewhere else and try to restart your lives. The stigma associated with what happened will be hard to live with. Your wife may have to leave the teaching profession for good.

I'm sorry, that was not my intent....you need to be realistic about this though.
Your W has a problem that needs to be addressed along with the damage that it has done to your marriage that's why I suggested you calling the Harleys. I know that they can help you and your W not only with the marital damage but also what lead your wife to do what she did.
You need to address this now. I will be very surprised if that boys family doesn't come after her legally, sooner rather than later. I know that I would if it was my child.
