Friday evening when H told me he had accepted the job I felt betrayed, abandoned, last on the list, etc, etc all over again. I cried most of the weekend. Like my dad said -- how can he "fix" his marriage in _________? Well, Sunday night I really got on my knees. The power of prayer. This week I feel so much stronger. I have pulled rental ads from the classified off the internet and have vowed to be supportive of him in this move. the kids think he's copping out and haven't said anything to him or called.
Last night we met for dinner. He was "ok" until I mentioned a couple of bills I have that he agreed to paid. I get the impression he gets angry thinking about what he has to pay. He wants a boat, a new vehicle to pull the boat, etc. Until he gets a couple of these bills paid, he can't have it all. I very nicely told him he had agreed to these bills and I had bills to pay as well. I'm working a second job to pay for a trip I have planned in the spring. That's how tight my cash flow is!! Today we met for lunch for me to give him the internet information. We discussed some life insurance and he made the comment if something happened to him that would be something the kids would like, as they sure didn't like him or ever had. He is on a self-pity trip right now...nobody likes him, etc.
I'm feeling more strong and in control and he seems to be going down. He will be gone this time next month. It will be his first taste of being completely on his own ever. The pity trip kind of worries me though.
Any thoughts?? I told him I would visit when I could, but it is six hours away and I do work a second job now. I guess he thought he was going to be "free" and be able to buy all his toys at once, but it doesn't always work that way does it?

Janie, maybe some time alone will do him good. my wife nver lived alone either- she won't now because our son is 4.
This is the HARDEST thing I have ever been through- andd only god knows when it will stop.
Maybe it will help him realize that you can't have your cake and eat it too- gee, the OM wrote that in an email to wifey.
You sound like a strong person, Janie. Prayers for all of you.
By the way, good job in not buying into his self-pity trip.
