NewJersey, most people seem to disagree with you apply hidden adoption to these Other Child situations.
There must be more to your background to be so very angry, bitter, and rejecting of your adoptive parents(?) "Blood" does not make relationships, bonds of love, a family history together, good values, etc.
Openess *IS* what is recommended for adoptive families nowadays. Being adopted always involves a loss of the "birth family" and grief, but there are also gains.
Adoption was not always open in the past, but that ALONE doesn't mean your parents were "bad" or "frauds"! In the past, adoptive parents were even told hiding it was best for the child.
Your anger make me sad and I hope you've got other reasons for your upset besides their hiding your adoption.
I hope you and your family are able to find peace.
