This is going to be in two parts because it's so funny, and yet I don't know if it will read well. I work at a school, and my school nurse just came to me and showed me a girls name from her daughter's class. It is spell La-a.... How would you say that?

Evidently this teacher has been saying this child's name wrong the whole time... So the student went home and complained to her mom that the teacher wasn't pronouncing her name correctly. Now mind you this is a high school student. So the mom came in for conferences and layed into the teacher about how she was pronouncing the name wrong and that it was purely simple to say it. La DASH A  (La-A) Yes, this is why we teach children to read and write.

6-3-07 - Dday#2 Found out NC never took place and A never ended. Found MB NC promised again, but WH would not write NC letter.
9/07 - Dday #3. Still lying and sneaking around. Plan B implemented
WH wants nothing to do with me
Divorced as of 12/09 after 36 years

Ok Queenie - i have some good ones for you. I have many friends who are teachers as I have benn a teacher aide and substitute.
1) Pajama - pronounced PAH-jah-mah. This woman was parently illiterate and saw it in a Sears catalog.
2) Chevelle - because that is where the poor girl was conceived!
