What a revolting trite piece of nonsensical advice. People actually base their lives on this garbage?

Oh right, never mind

I sent my objection in, with a conclusion that as she did not have all the pertanent details of this marriage, she could not give informed advice.

Sunday's Dear Abby was about internet infidelity. She called that one "cheating."
So internet porn is infidelity and sleeping with your best friend's husband while you're married isn't? Well she got the first one right, anyway.

Sheesh.

Well, I told abby she was wrong...I didn't beat about the bush, either. Obviously, she needs a dictionary so she can learn the meaning of words like 'faithful' and 'adultery'.

"Abby" talked about "consenting adults", right? Did she say whether the betrayed spouses of the two adulterers also consented to be part of this nasty little arrangement?

Agreed. But this turnip is read by millions of people every day. If she's going to turn into a bully pulpit for adulterers, we HAVE to call her on it. Maybe just pressure will get her to change her stance, even if she doesn't agree with us.

DEAR FRIEND: Selfishness? You are both consenting adults. You can do what you want. Many successful relationships have begun with two people supporting each other through a painful period -- and I don't consider that "selfish" at all.

Dear Abby,

I think you advice to the young lady was awful.

If inserting your ****** into a married womans ***** is your idea of "supporting", you need to consider another line of work.

Let me tell you whats really more likely the story.

Shes been messing around with this guy.
She seperated from her husband because of this guy
she rewrites her marital history for sympathy and to use as a reason why shes seperated.
Now her guilt is catching up to her
Shes asking you for advice by supply half truths and ommisions not to mention changing the timeline up a little, so she can print out your response and tape it to her bathroom mirror.

Maybe she'll be able to stand herself if she can dart her eyes to your letter every few seconds as shes wondering whats shes done to her family.

Shes married until shes divorced.

I sent a response to Dear Abby, too. Honestly, how can anyone expect kids to grow up into responsible, moral, law-abiding adults if all they see and hear are people who condone immoral, wrong behavior just so everyone can "feel good" about themselves? Sometimes, you need to feel bad about something because it is WRONG. If you do something wrong or consider doing something wrong, you should feel bad about it. And you should do your best to make up for the wrong you have done. Gosh, darn it - it's not rocket science!
