Yes, I fried three turkeys!

It was a feeding frenzy, however one of the ill-mannered immigrnats took one of the turkeys without asking. To my understanding in their "culture", if you leave something it's fair game. All I did was get Tabitha to fix me a plate and sit down to eat and they ren over to the carving table and squabbled over it, wrapped it up and left.

They got some hope and change this morning. I hope that turkey was worth their job.

My boss bought me a turkey fryer. Do the turkeys really come out good? I'm a little hesitant to use it the first time tomorrow. I'll test it out over the weekend.

Did those turkeys look awesome or what?

They are fantastic.

Remember 3 to 3.5 minutes a pound.

Turn the burner OFF when you put the DEFROSTED turkey in the oil at 350 degrees, then re-light the burner and let it get to between 360 to 400.

a 20lb turkey takes right at an hour.

I think I'm living under a rock because I've never heard of this before. But doesn't it make the turkey greasy like it's from a fast food place?

Kilted,
I tried it and no the Turkey was not greasy. The skin was crispy and the kids loved it. I don't know which is healther, roasting or frying? I would think probably roasting. The turkey is fried in peanut oil. It took about 40 minutes to cook a 13 lb turkey. The meat was juicy and delicious (not oily tasting).

I fried them in cottonseed oil and injected them with Cajun Butter from Tony Chacherie's. I didn't use peanut oil because I didn't know if we had anyone with a peanut allergy.

They were absolutely fantastic.
