My H is a voice teacher, so I'd have to make sure I learned to pronounce French correctly first! Ha! If I want him to kiss me like Gomez all I have to do is wash the dishes  AND my H doesn't have that annoying mustache. But does he have those killer mob-style suits?

What does Gomez do for a living, anyway? And yes, very good that the whole family is intact.
One year becomes two, two years becomes five, five becomes ten and before you know it, you've wasted your whole life on a problem you can't solve. That's one way to spend your life. -rwinger

My H does have a black suit, Italian family, and he is great at Mafia Wars. But we don't dance in the living room - we're Baptist!

Wasn't he a stock market nut trying to lose the family fortune but just kept making more no matter how hard he tried not too??????

Aussieswife--don't know about that. I thought it was family money. I do know a few bits of trivia: Morticia's maiden name was "Frump" John Astin (Patty Duke's father, BTW) was originally considered for the part of Lurch, played by Ted Cassidy. Cassidy's hand was also used for "Thing". Oh. And Pugsley was a Boy Scout. And...I just found this quote in IMDB, while trying to find out what Gomez did for a living: The cast all around is terrific, creating truly lovable characters despite the offbeat environment. Its been noted in most reviews that the family is presented as incredibly well adjusted and caring for each other. Gomez and Morticia have an undying passion for each other and are one of the healthiest couples ever on prime time. The children are respectful to their elders yet get in enough mischief to keep the show interesting. The butler and "thing" are completely loyal and grateful to the family. Grandma and Uncle Fester are treated as members of the family through and through.

I never realized what good model family they were til now! I know. I started thinking about it when I started reading this thread. And then I found that quote that I just edited into my post, above. Apparently a lot of people recognized that.

I'm getting obsessed now. LOL Here's a piece from Wikipedia; Gomez has an endless love for his wife, Morticia. He studied to be a lawyer, but rarely practices, while taking great pride in losing his cases. Gomez is also quite pleased with the fact that his law class voted him "Least Likely to Pass the Bar".
Gomez is extremely wealthy from inheritance and extensive investments, but he seems to have little regard for money. Although he invests in the stock market, to the point where there is a ticker tape machine in their living area, he seems to play the market primarily to lose. One novel claims that Gomez became wealthy after he discovered that it is possible to make a killing in the stock market. Despite his macabre sense of humor, he is extremely generous and known for going out of his way to help those he considers friends.

[kisses Morticia's hand arm and so on] I for one would never get the house work done ..... how sad would I be over that!!!! I've got a plan for my Aussie ..... I'll just drench my hand and arm in Irish whiskey  and say 'Jamieson' or 'Bushmead"
