Shhhhhh. Don't let them hear a word you're saying. It was designed to launch BB size plastic pellets, and they modified it to "shoot" golf balls and watch them roll lazily across the floor.
Still, it's only a matter of time before they look to build a larger model. I think I'm going to tell them, for the medieval history we're studying, that in the ancient days they took catapults "no larger than the one you're holding, and attacked large cities. It didn't work out too well for them."
Unfortunately, they've probably already studied enough not to believe me.

well now, be telling them darlings it was dare Irish kerns like doing that dare thing with them caty-pulls things like. them fellas like would do mos anything with a wee bit of the water of life in em, actually come ta tink of it, they still do. I'll be watching the episode with youse letting them know what dare that water of life is like then. I tink me tons glued in me cheek - it was dare wee bottle of wine dat did dat I'm tinkin.

The kids built a catapult yesterday. Need I say more? It's time to batton down the pets. You should see the ones that NCW and his kids would build. It's enough to add sparklies to ANY mom's hair.

I'm not going to be hummy for eons now. As usual, the Wookie bought more food than could be consumed at once and we will have leftovers till 2012, I think.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away my Wookie was the King of Christmas lights.
Then, the King turned into a froggy Grinch for a few years. No lights at all.
Well, I'm happy and a little scared to announce that the last of the frog is gone!
You all are all invited to my house to see the lights this year. This year he went ape-poo crazy. We've got caroling snowmen and penguins on the roof, LED lights limning the roof, ginormous candy canes lining the sidewalk, lighted moving deer grazing in the lawn, lolipops and candy canes lining the lawn, and all the front windows and bushes lit.
It's all uber cool...but I just couldn't watch when he backed the pickup up to the house and put the ladder in the bed so it could reach the 2nd story.

Many of the lights are LED... .... is that Light & Electricity Disablers???????  Men and their toys .... I made the mistake today of asking Aussie when he was going to set up Mikeys train set from last Christmas.... yes you guessed it .. he's been building it ever since .... then along comes Jonny who says I quote " wotcha doin old man" reply grunt ' 'ain ' .... the two of them are still at it ... its 7.30 at night ... Mikey is playing with 3 pieces of track and a engine ....... sure .. "Mikeys' train .. yeah right.  old man

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. There is no such thing as enough when it comes to men and their Christmas lights. The Garden Ridge flyer came in the mail this weekend. We have more lights and now have a blow up Christmas M&M couple....which of course, he had to go get a spotlight for. Ugh.
