I know this must be the nerdiest, stupidest off-topic thing there is, but here goes.

"Knights of the Old Republic" is a Star Wars game much like Fable. An RPG if you will. Since most of you probably don't PLAY RPGs I won't go into it.

During the course of the game, two affairs are mentioned.

In both cases, the OP was killed. (Someone making this game had an axe to grind... think )

In the second case it was a woman, and the MM having an affair with her had found out she was using him to spy on him and his cause.

He had a HARD time believing this.

I have a question pertaining to the latter, the case of the MM not wanting to believe wrong about his "precious" OW.

Do all MM have their heads UP THERE in terms of believing things about their OW, or is this "just a game!"?

Mine did.

It was so bad that it took a map, a couple of spelunkers, a crowbar and a skilled surgeon to remove it.

Only 1 spelunker made it out alive.

I never had to take the Kobayashi Maru test until now. What do you think of my solution?

My FWH said, numerous time, right after DDay..."Not only have I screwed up my Marriage but I've lost a good friend" puke

It took him a LONG time to realize that the skank was NOT his "friend" but his AP... crazy

Yes.

My FWS looked at me completely shocked and outraged that I thought I needed to be tested for STDs. And he was flabergasted when I suggest it is possible she might have slept with someone other than her husband and MINE!

Not just men!
WW's have the same problem with there OM.

It's a wayward thing and they all suffer from it.

I think WS make themselves believe that the OP was so great because it makes them look less dumber than they really are to have risked their M for them. When my DH and XOW were exposed he had to be investigated because this XOW was basically prostituting any American man who would fall into her trap. They interviewed five American men whom she had had S with during that particular year. My DH looked at me when we read the investigation report about all of her "johns" and said to me, "I don't believe she would do that." Of course I committed domestic violence on him (wrong I know) and slapped him out of his fog and screamed in his face "dumb, dumb do you really think a woman who would suck your d*ck in your W bed knowing that you are M won't give her skanky body up to the highest bidder!" He looked really confused and dumb after I said that, but later he told me when I asked what they would talk about that she was trash and how could a trashy person hold a converation with someone who was as broken as he was at the time of the A.

If the WS looks at the OP for what they really are, then it will also mean that they have to look at themselves as just as bad and most of them aren't willing to do that.

I can't even imagine the embarrassment that my DH experienced when finding out that the money he gave the X-other-skank was actually money for S and it wasn't to get her car fixed as she had originally told him. I think the world of my DH, and if I were to risk what I have with him for some joe who is just looking for his next lay I can imagine that I would feel like pond scum as well. In the beginning, my DH actually thought that this woman throwing herself at him and begging him for S was because he was so special. Poor thing didn't ask himself if a woman would lower herself to the standard of being an OW and be willing to continuously sleep with him knowing he was M her morals must be broken and she must not regard her body as something of value to give it away so easily. She was a real loosy goosy.

I feel the same way...

Sometimes men will come through my line (I am a cashier) and vaguely hit on me. The first thing I do is look for a ring, and when I see it (if I see it) I feel SICK.

Then I wonder what the hell's wrong with ME.

You?

It's them who are deficient and morally corrupt.

I mean, what's wrong with me, that makes them think it's okay to say something to me?

Do I have 'I am easy' tattooed on my forehead or something? sigh

KR, there's nothing wrong with YOU! In fact, you have a golden opportunity to spread the news what's wrong with them. Next time that happens, you get the opportunity to say something like -- if you're flirting with me, you're playing with fire. Shame on you for betraying your wife. Will there be anything else? LOL

Karmadear,

They are a virus that keeps trying to find a way in.

Thanks to MB and a good moral backbone, you have an immunity...but that doesn't keep the virus from trying to find an "in."

I threw up a little in my mouth when I read the earlier post where the WS said not only had they hurt their family but lost a good friend. I said almost that exact thing after my A. Give me a break. You're right about the reason. For some reason we don't think it is as bad if the OP is a "good person." GAG. Don't get me wrong. I am a married woman. Who the **** did I think I was, cheating on my DH??? But if the OM was so wonderful, how could he know my family, teach my daughter guitar, and then say some of the thing he said and do the things we did? Like I said, I still feel that I am the one who should have been more responsible and moral - I was married! But he was no prize. WS's who romanticize their AP's need to wake up.

I have been "flirted with" or whatever a couple of times over the last few years. Both times I said something to the effect of, "thanks for the compliment. My sweet husband thinks so too." That pours the cold water on 'em.

There is another way. You can DUMP/DIVORCE your WS and tell them have a good life w/ OP. Then let them see first hand what the person is REALLY like out in the open. That is the ultimate PROOF! That is what most BS do in fact...DUDE

My h thought his OW would not lie to him even though we had found out several lies she told him.

And a friend of his had sex with her one night right before he started his A with her and he did not believe the friend when he told him he had slept with her. He said i don't think she would do that.

I played this game and can't remember this part. Was it a side quest?

As far as the question goes, some people never get out of the fog or have too much pride, as in my case, to admit they did anything wrong.

They had decided the marriage was over, so dating was ok despite the fact that I didn't know.

Yeah, they were sidequests, one on Dantooine (you talk to a Twi'lek while going to the ruins I think. I THINK, he's on a little bridge), and one on Manaan, but you had to have Jolee in your party when you talk to the woman who starts the quest on Manaan.

"The marriage is over in my mind so it's okay to date!" What idiots...

I think I missed these. Great game. You should play Mass Effect if you liked KOTOR. I'm now going through ME as a no nonesense bad guy with the dark streak. Except that I'm playing it as a woman now.

If you liked KOTOR, then you should try ME. I rarely play though games to the end and even more rarely play them twice once beaten. Tells you something about ME.

That means he dresses in drag before booting up.

haha. I named the new character after my gf and have made her a bada$$.

My gf accepts my geekyness. She watched the new Star Trek with me last night. Told me the show was ok. It was rep of the fans that had her scared off.

They did a good job with the new movie.

No infidelity in ME. There is a love triangle, but the characters force you to make a choice towards the end.

:P I'm such a geek.
