We're good friends with another couple and socialize often. My husband recently got in a fight with the man and they are not speaking. My husband suggests "out of loyalty" that I end my friendship with the woman - someone who I consider to be a girlfriend. I'm not comfortable with his and don't thin it appropriate for him to tell me who my friends should be etc. Need feedback.

I would think it would die a natural death eventually when the four of you no longer get together. If it was a foursome, how do you see it working out when it's just you and her? Do you plan on remaining friends with her husband? If not, how weird is that going to be?
I don't think he's right to demand this, but your loyalty SHOULD be to your husband. Any chance the guys will 'make up'?

We see one another often through our church group. It will be difficult.

I'm not comfortable with his and don't thin it appropriate for him to tell me who my friends should be etc. Need feedback. I would most definitely end your friendship with your woman. Your marriage is much more important than your friendship with this woman and your H has told you this makes him very unhappy.

If you told him that his friendship with some man made you unhappy, for whatever reason, wouldn't you expect him to stop his friendship? Or would it be ok if he told you to stuff it?
