What happenned to his family? Are you able to touch the bird, I thought humans can't touch birds for some reason. I have told my daughter that because she is 9 and really good with birds for some reason. i have seen her in the back with a bird on her hand, lol. Like they just come to her. She is veery quiet so I guess that helps.

I have a funny bird story.

I have a friend who used to go to the park and feed the birds. She went often. One day, she was sitting on the ground feeding the birds and some pigeons came up to her and climbed onto her and really hung out with her.....when she got up to throw away her breadbags and leave, she notice that she had on a t-shirt that said:

- Little
Pigeon
- River

It sits in my lap and cries out for it's parents. However it readily takes food from me.

He will adjust just fine to his new life with his oddball flock.

As for other birds, I have a cockatoo and I do rehab work with raptors like hawks and owls. I usually get two or three baby birds a year to raise up and release, but the crow is special and shall remain my companion if he so chooses. I was told by the medecine man years ago that a crow would come to me. He bestowed on me my tribal name of Robert Night (Black) Crow.

Pariah - So good to see you! My baby bird is gone now. He was in a flight cage and the sparrows ate leftover seeds outside. So anyway, since he could fly and eat on his own, I released him yesterday. He flew off with a flock of birds.

Thanks for helping him live and be free.

Wow, that is amazing!! I can't believe he is letting you touch him like that. What happened to his family? Are you native american?

No, I'm not Native American.

I just have a way with birds. I understand them.

I was given the name because I was presented to the Chief by a Native American falconer. The medicine man said I had good medicine and for my care of the ones who watch over our spirits, I was bestowed a tribal name.

I hold it sacred and the highest honor.

Something else that my XW coveted.

She really didn't care about birds or much of anything.

All she did was covet what others had instead of focusing on what she had.

She was only ever kind if there was something in it for her.

Yeah. We pulled the end cap off the horizontal stabilizer so the could get out abd sometime during the week they had fledged.

I should have take pictures of them when we inspected them last week.

They were beyond cute.

Here's where they got in at. The tail cone is off to gain access to this end of the nest.

How did this wonderful thread die????

Ten minutes ago, a wonderful woman said she would cook me dinner on Sunday.

On Saturday, I might go back to Disney... got my son annual passes for Christmas this year.

Mmmmm a long weekend!!!! Yippee!!!

It is my mom's birthday tomorrow so am having everyone in for Brunch at 9:30 as some family members have to work that evening!!!

I am spending the evening with 3 of the 5 grandsons as parents have to work and Grandma Dawn doesn't say no when needed!!!!

Monday is a day off for me but not for my kids so will have the 3 grandsons again, have to find something fun and interactive for us to do!!!! Any thoughts?

Set up a crafts table with paper, glue sticks, material, yarn, some glitter glue that comes out of a bottle, cardboard, magazines, and let them have crafts day. If you have a store like AC Moore or Michael's near you you can get card board boxes cheap and they can decorate them. Do collage using magazines.
