WHAT A LOSER...DUDE

Tiger Woods is getting treatment at a top sex addiction program in Hattiesburg, Miss., sources have told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

The troubled golf great checked into Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services, sources say.

The clinic, considered one of the top in the nation for sexual addiction, is directed by Dr. Patrick Carnes, who has pioneered treatment for sexually compulsive behavior.

According to the Web site for the facility, patients usually spend about six weeks in treatment. Sex addicts receive a variety of treatments, including group therapy, cognitive behavior therapy and something called shame reduction.

As RadarOnline.com has previously reported, Woods has not been seen publicly since his infamous car accident in the early morning hours after Thanksgiving after an alleged altercation with his wife Elin after she discovered he was having an affair.

So he "fakes" it for six weeks then returns to golf. People will say "he's cured" since he COMPLETED the six weeks of treatment and will forgive and forget. Certain sponsors will use Tiger, his wife will be overseas for extended periods so the divorce can move along at a snails pace, and Tiger's life will return to normal with Tiger calling the shots.

And he's learned he's not invisible. He will be more careful from now on. His bank account will not suffer much. And the girls will keep throwing themselves at him because they see how they can profit from being on Tiger's team.

Sad.

I am afraid holyheart may be right. But I hope not. IF sa is a legimate addiction and he is seeking treatment for the right reasons, I hope against hope that it works. But it will be up to HIM. HE will have to make the change and do the work. And if I was his W, I still wouldn't take him back - there's just been too much.

BTW, the slice pun was priceless. It's good to see that everyone's sense of humor is up to PAR. Especially since Tiger's life is definietly in the rough. He's really gone off the beaten cart path. How dd he HOOK all those women anyway??? Okay.....I'm not really done, but DD informas me that my puns are really bad, so I will try not to PUNish you any further.....

Is that a Titleist? (for true Seinfeld nerds)

I would not call him a sex addict.
I would call him an affair/new relationship addict.

I would call him an Addict.

IF, and that is a big IF, Tiger went into this clinic, and not becasue his advisors told him to, but to actually work the program, then he might be able to come out the other side a better man.

HH is right that otherwise, he will just have to be more discret in the future.

Sad.

WRONG...My prediction is he loses his elite golfing capacity. You have no idea what its gonna be like w all those hecklers on the golf course. That will throw his game off BIGTIME. Golf is not basketball or football. He will pay a huge price and will not win the four majors to catch nicholaus..DUDE

People won't heckle him because 1) hecklers in golf get removed from the galley, 2) he's CURED because he survived 6 weeks of treatment, 3) sorry, guys, but golf is primarly a man's sport, and 4) he's TIGER.

And his focus? He's PROVED to be the king of compartmentalization. He kept winning majors balancing a wife, two kids, a dozen mistresses, tons of sponsors, etc. without missing a beat.

Just my opinion.

Golf is not politics or religion, Dude. It's a SPORT. His career is not over. Will he have fewer fans? Absolutely. Will golf have more security than ever before? Of course. Will there be new sponsors ready to pick up Tiger? Yes. Will his game suffer? No, because he's been trained to tune out non-tigers. Will his love life suffer? No. I bet there are new bimbos waiting in the wings to be mistresses #22 and #23. Will his wife and kids be an issue publicly? No, because his wife and kids will move overseas where papparazi will respect their privacy, and America will move on to the next scandal.

Tiger will lay low. Play golf. Be discreet. Fake treatment to save face. His ego is too big for him to change. He got caught... he never really confessed. And I think the number of mistresses is just too much for his wife to take. I don't blame her for wanting out.

Again, just my opinion.

SPORT??! Like bowling...Anything that is common for you to drink alcohol and/or smoke while doing is NOT a SPORT. Its a passtime. And no, there will be a big fallout when he comes back. You need to have a little more faith in "the people". DUDE

DUDE, for Mr. Woods golf is not a pastime -- it's his way of life. It's his obsession (other than chasing skirts). It's his livelihood and paycheck. It's his JOB. Big difference.

I really don't play the game, and I suspect you don't either, but at that level, it really IS a sport. There is athleticism involved, but once you reach the needed skill level, the game becomes about 95% mental.

It was no joke when they talked about his training regimen. He really did work that hard, and work on things every single day. You don't get to where he did at anything without total dedication.

I know several guys (and one woman) who have played on the professional tours, and you have no idea how hard they work. None. One of them has added to his wardrobe with a major victory and another has won a couple of majors among the 50+ crowd. To survive on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, or Champions Tour (Senior Tour) and make a living is almost impossible to do for any length of time.

The travel is mind-numbing, living out of a suitcase can be disheartening, and unlike a team sport, there's no one to blame but yourself. It takes mental discipline that's almost inhuman to be a star on the Tours. Trust me on that.

Rip Eldrick all you want. He deserves every bit of it. He's been a schmuck. But don't diss pro golfers. You have no idea.

Any golfers out there want to chime in on this?

The sex addiction treatment is probably the "I'm gonna man up and face it" propaganda that will get him all around slaps on the back from the golf world. Just enough of what it takes to get mother morality off his back.

Then he will be back in golf.

Hey remember "Iron Mike"? He went to prison and now he is in pro wrestling and lol, was standing up there withthe cast of "The Hangover" at the golden globes.

Its the public guys. What did PT Barnum say? "There is a sucker born every minute"

Just my opinion but he wont really change a lot. He will know what he was supposed to change though so he can spin it
