If one was to purchase the radio shack device to record phone calls how can this be hooked up so it isn`t found? Can it be hooked up under the house on one of the phone lines? Can An extra line be run to the box for it? If so how is it done? Many questions!

Good question. I have thought about this myself. If anyone knows the answer, I would like to know to. Nobody said we couldn't be sneaky, did they?

Confused,
The people at radio shack should be able to advise you exactly where you can hook it up. I think you can hook it to any phone line. You may have to have another one added in a place your wife is not aware of, if that's possible. Good luck!
------------------
Love is meant to heal. Love is meant to renew. Finally something I do know,
There are four wires bringing analog communication to your home. The colors are Red, Green, Yellow and Black.
Look outside the home to see where they enter the house and follow them to the junction block. First line is Red and Green. If you have a second line it is Yellow and Black. If you are not sure have a phone company tech come in, when you know who is not around, and wire an extention to a closet or other area that is not used.
Set up the recorder...BUT BE VERY SURE YOU ARE PREPARED TO HEAR WHAT YOUR BELOVED IS REALLY UP TO.
I did the same thing putting the tape recorder in the basement under a box with a false bottom. I was not ready to hear what was really going on. I only had a suspicion and a disturbance in the force. I worked late that night and after monitoring the tape she was asked to leave at 02:30 in the morning after hearing her and her "boyfriend" chatted about meeting at the SIL for pizza.
Hope this helps,
It's still illeagle but,
it's immoral to commit adultery.
MEDIC

I connected the red and green wires form a new line to the same red and green and it cuts off the phone. Had to disconnect it. Anybody knows how to do this?I`m prepared to hear. I only whant to know who it is. Can`t seem to find that out.YET!.Any web sites that give out any of this kind of information of finding out things like this?

Do you have an extension anywhere in the house? Like the phone line connected to the computer? This is a good place to put the recorder. I bought a devise that must be hooked up at a different phone then the one being used. This devise hooks up to the phone line like a caller id box and you then hook up the voice activited recorder. No wiring necessary. I think putting it near the computer would work best because it's easy to hide under all the other wires! I've hooked it up, it very simple, but haven't done anything with it yet, as I'm still not sure I'm prepared to hear anything!
Good luck!

Does anybody know how much this device costs? I have to know once and for all whether she's still talking to him. For my own peace of mind.
------------------
The realization that life is not fair is a pain that lasts a lifetime, but with perserverance and love, the pain can be greatly eased.

If the phone line works without the new connection but not with it, the problem is in the way the new line is wired. It could be that the wiring in the new outlet is shorted or something. Make sure the red and green wires do not touch anywhere with the insulation is off).
