"i am scheduling a paternity and polygraph and if she refuses, then i'll just move out temporarily"
This is not the time to make hasty decisions. You do not leave the home. You will put yourself in a legal bind as to who gets custody, CS, charged with abandonment, barred from moving back in.
Best to bounce off what you want to do here first. You don't want to make things harder to recover or if it comes to it divorce.
As to getting permission you are the childs dad you just make an appointment and get the DNA test done.
Also no need to force a polygraph test at this point. That test can wait.
What has the WW admitted to?

Why is my B.S. Detector going off the chart? Because the cousin is hospitalized for two months or more and MOTY isn't in jail? Because MOTY reacted so violently that you wonder if the baby fell off the bed or of MOTY harmed him in a fit of passion? Something else?

I'm with Fred.
I can't imagine surgeon who doesn't know how to capitalize the beginning of a sentence...or a pronoun...or punctuate a contraction...etc.
BTW-I'm related to 8 doctors.

Manofth3year,
You have had a ton happen to you in a short period of time and all of it traumatic. If I were you, I would stay away from your WW for the time being and let your emotions cool off. Going to your mother's for a few days is a great idea.
As for the polygraph test, I would shelve it for the time being. Once things settle down and you get your bearings, then bring it up. However, go through with the paternity test ASAP. I would also consult with a family law attorney ASAP due to the possible OC and the other issues. Family law attornies and judges earn their money on complicated cases like yours.

Mainly because a surgeon called his babie's injury a "minor crack in his head." Actually that doesn't bother me. I'd expect a surgeon to have pretty good perspective about what is a life threatening injury or not. Me, a lay-person and a parent, I'd be totally freaking out about a cracked skull. A surgeon should know a lot more and should be able to tell if it's life threatening or "minor". Granted it's not a boo-boo that can be fixed with a band-aid but I imagine in the world of surgery you see some pretty horrific stuff. A cracked skull could well be minor in comparison. OTOH... skulls are pretty darn tough. Can falling off a bed really cause a crack in a skull? Maybe if the floor is tile. Wood, I'm not so sure and carpet I just can't see it. I apologize ahead of time for doubting you if your story is true and complete, MOTY. If you're as distraught as you sound (and as any sane person would expect you to be given the circumstances) then the last thing you need is a lot of criticism and doubt from a support forum. I think you'll agree that the story is fantastic, however, and it's normal for others to be incredulous.

I was just curious about the laws. It seems odd that you would be allowed to visit a man that tyou just so seriously assaulted and that a university would resond to information that you had given them and tell you what the discipline would be. Privacy laws usually prohibit that. It has been our experience here that BSs seldom hear anything after work exposures and that disciplinary terminations can take weeks or even months.
I also apologize if I am reading too much into this but we have been scammed before.

I'm in the camp of people who aren't buying this. Sorry, but if you caused enough physical damage to another person to put them in the hospital until March, you would be in jail. Also, a "minor crack in the head" wouldn't keep a baby in the hospital for a month. This supposedly happened just a few days after Christmas, right? Something "minor" required surgery and kept the baby in the hospital for an entire month? This story just doesn't pan out on so many levels.
I don't want to offend you, but you just don't sound like a doctor. I imagine you would be distraught, but the posts seem fairly illiterate and ungrammatical. Even at my most distraught, I still remember how to speak/write in English.
So, why all the inconsistencies?

My story is unbelieveable too. If I started posting on D-Day, I would have sounded just like MOTY. Let's cut him some slack and help him and not criticise him.

God's Blessings,
Say the doctors and security allowed me to see him, plus he didnt press charges, and i wasnt in jail for a long time either.about the university thing;i showed them concrete proof and there have been stories on this website where BSs that have been notified about their spouse's status at their jobs.and you used the word seldom, not never.i am not a spammer,im just a man thats sad.
