I've been in and out of MB forum since August and just felt at this point I wanted to let everyone know how invaluable being here has been to me. When I heard about MB on the 700 Club I was ecstatic and dying for any info to help me. I found out right away that I had pretty much been doing everything wrong, lovebusting to the max!!! It was too late to take it all back and I was destroying my H's attempt to prove to me of his sincerity to love only me. I wish so bad I had everyone here to work through all of this with when it first came down. For this reason I feel very inadequate to post except on rare occasions.
I am now using all of the MB info and also learning from all of you. I know we are all hurting and somehow that understanding is invaluable. The best part is that we are facing the music and not just throwing in the towel. There is plenty of advice out there to give up and rarely advice to hang in. God I'm sure smiles down on this forum and blesses even when we get a bit crazy.
Thanks again everyone and keep on soothing all of us "savage beasts, licking our wounds".
Special thanks to Faith Hope Love for recomending the book on forgiveness, I'm working through it.

Taj,
I don't know your whole story. But I do remember that a real difficult part of recovery for you was the length of the affair and the fact that you were deceived for such a long time. I immediately understood your position as I was also oblivious for years when my H was involved with the OW. I also didn't know about this site at the time I discovered the affair and sure wish I had known. There are several things I would have done differently.
However, I thank God I had the opportunity to gain all this knowledge to work through the pain and hurt of discovery and the mind boggling process of rebuilding. I probably would be totally crazy if not for this site. We are 21 months into rebuilding our marriage and I would never have given us a chance in a million upon discovery. I'm constantly amazed at the progress.
You are right. This place is a Godsend. And don't feel inadequate about posting. We all have lessons to learn by our successful efforts and by admitting our mistakes. And everyone here can use a shoulder sometimes. Good to hear from you, Taj!!

Nerlycrazy,
Thanks for the response. The knowledge that people understand is sometimes the only light in an otherwise dark tunnel. I have seen lately so many posts where people were expressing the exact things I felt especially at the time of disclosure. I want so desperately to reach out and give them hugs and encouragement, maybe even just cry with them. That is why I needed to post in hind sight about the truth of this forum. Hopefully I will one day be able to help someone like everyone on this forum has helped me. For that reason and selfish ones as well I'm going to hang around. Have a great week-end everyone!
------------------
eyes wide open
Taj,
That's why I always check in here too. I remember so vividly the shock and pain at discovery and I really feel for the newcomers. I know what it feels like to have your entire world turned upside down and to feel like nothing will ever be ok again. When I first came here I really think I was losing it. Seriously. I felt as though our 30 year marriage was a farce and felt SOO incredibly stupid for not having realized for so many years he was cheating. One minute I was consumed with self pity and the next with a hate and rage I couldn't control.

I don't post an awful lot anymore. I do read many posts and respond when I can. But my message is always the same. It CAN get better and there is hope. I would never have believed 21 months ago that we would be where we are today and as happy as we are now. Thanks to many wonderful people on this forum, we are making it. I wish to give others the same hope, inspiration and hugs that were offerred to me when I desperately needed it.
