Hello everyone. I'm just looking here desperately trying to get my head my husband's affair. I'm not sure how feel and I'm wondering if I've forgiven too easily.
The marriage has been on the rocks for a while and I've been trying hard to keep it together. We occilate between periods of bliss and period when we almost give up and this has been going on for a few years, each time he promises he'll try to make things work only to tell me a month down the line its not working. Anyway I've been keeping it all together all this while, but lately for some reason I knew there as someone else and I gently confronted him about this to which he admitted but told me I happened 6 months ago and only lasted a week with someone at work.
I want so much to believe him and somehow I do but still get the feeling it's not completely true. I however told him I've forgiven him and try not to bring it up but it's hurting me inside. I can't seem to get the picture of him making love to someone else out of my mind. He is very considerate and gentle in bed and I cantbear the fact thatanother woman experienced that. Plus I wonder if there were others, I wonder if people have seen then together. We talked about all of thisand he denied it but I'm struggling to move on. Btw I only found out 3 days ago. We're tryito build the mariage and he's been really wonderul to me. But I'm wondering why I've forgiven him so soon. Not sure if it's to do with a low self esteem, or I'm just relieved to have him back or perhaps the impact hasn't dawned me and will come to me later, or maybe I'm just blessed to able to move on so quickly.
Well, that's my story in a nutshell. I'm just looking for some support and encouragement at this time. Thanks.

You won't recover if he is still working with the OW. There's just no way.

To me it sounds like he's done this more than once. By telling you that "it is not working" every so often, it gave him justification(in his mind) to see others. I'd want a polygraph done to find out the truth. You need to know what you are up against.

Do you know who the OW was? Is she M?

I'd advise you get the book Surviving an Affair. It'll help you understand the dynamics of A's. They are all the same.

Sorry you have to be here, welcome.

Good morning, Mum,

I am sorry that you find yourself here but it is a good place to be in your circumstances. The pros will be along in a bit with advice but all of us here have been in your shoes and have worked through it in one way or another.

Your story has many red flags to me but even if it is 100% true, sin so easily forgiven with zero consequences is likely to be repeated.

Read everything on this site and order the book Surviving An Affair and then start to quietly snoop. Find out all that you can about this OW and expose to OWH if she is married. Check phone bills and computer logs and credit card statements. The only source that you cannot trust at this point is what your WH tells you.

Read as many other threads as you have time to on here. You will greatly benefit from the experience of others and the advice that they have been given.

God's Blessings,

Say
