Hi all,

I am 19 and unemployed. I would like to ask my girlfriend G to marry me. But i dont know how to tell my parents about what i want to do. G is from hong kong and is on a student visa. She wants to be a columist in england and has got two offers from a college. so she will be extending her visa.


My dad has this thing with foregin people comimg into the counttry. Where they just marry someone only for the purpose of getting a british passport. But i dont know what his reaction will be. my mum is fine about it and would support me any way she can. But my dad would most likley try to talk me out of it.

But i know that G does not want a british passport beacuse she has such a good life in hong kong.

Me and G have been together for just over a year and past the 'honymoon period' a long time ago. we both are madly in love. We both cant seen to be appart.
Recently, i have found out jus how much i love her. She has gone back to hong kong for three weeks to see her family, and i miss her more than i would miss anyone or anything else. And i dont think my life would be complete, withou her by my side. G also says the same thing.

Anyway.

I just dont know how to tell my parents that i want to ask G to marry me.

please i need help!!
