My DD22's then-best friend lost her mom to breast cancer when the girls were in 3d grade. Another friend lost her H to lung cancer/metastasized to brain 2 days ago. And today I learned my BIL has bladder cancer. Probably very curable but terribly scary for them until they have more information.
But in all these stories, my heart breaks for the children. 6? Oh, dear Lord. Please go with them.
