I'm feeling more and more detached from this situation. I think this MB "system" is making me feel that way. Like I'm not in the situation, but above it, controlling it, watching her follow a script. It just doesn't seem so personal anymore. GG: I think this is the thing that is most important. It doesn't help that you are 7k miles away, but the personal will come. As bad as this is, this may be a very good opportunity for plan A. You need to rack your brain for all the things you can possibly do (and even some that are impossible) to help her and her family through this. Whether it be the insurance, sending care packages, or even going home, you have got to be her pillar that helps get her through this dark time.

My WW-radar is going off and it sounds like this might be an attempt to manipulate you. How is your signing the divorce paperwork even relevant to the fact that her dad has terminal lung cancer???
