I forget where it is and I can't find a story, but there was a guy who bought flowers for his mistress and got sent a thank-you card by the company (guess it was an expensive order)...and his wife promptly, well...you can guess.

Yeah, its a real bummer when you trust someone and they let you down, isnt it, lady?

This is funny - trust and agreements and a one way street.

But then anything can happen in the Canadian courts.

Ain't that the truth.

Everyone has rights don't ya know, even cheaters. It's nuts. faint

The privacy act, faint absolutely protects deceitful behaviour. I found that out when just wanting to know about postal boxes.

I hope there is a judge with a brain on this case and doesn't cave to this WW's case.

OH, post follow up if you can!

My friend's WH spent an afternoon in a motel with his flavor-of-the-day and used my friend's CC to pay the bill. He was busted when the motel sent a customer satisfaction survey to their home address.

Vittoria, I'll see if Michael Graham follows the story on his blog (www.michaelgraham.com) I doubt it..unless it's an ongoing national or local political story, he usually doesn't. But you never know.

I'm still in disbelief. Trust an issue? I guess so, since she was boffing someone else and got caught. HOW COULD THAT BIG MEAN COMPANY do that to her?

I think the bottom line that makes me angry and that this particular case is about,

people don't take responsibility for their own actions.

Someone else is always to blame. grumble

I just seem to see it happening more and more over the years.

I see it with our government, we just want to make everyone happy, IMO.

Unfortunately, you can sue anyone for anything these days-you just have to find a lawyer willing to take the case and the target of the suit usually has to have money (otherwise what's the point? That's why corporations and rich individuals are always targeted.)

I agree with you Vit. It's all about entitlement (the common denominator of any wayward, anyway) and a what's in it for me, attitude.

Hmmm... what about the marriage contract? Which is more like putting your life in someone else's hands: marrying someone, or buying a cell phone???

I wonder, could there be someone at these companies who have been affected by infidelity, and are doing their part to strike a blow, by sending out customer surveys etc?

ETA: OH, when I saw you posting over here, and saw the title of your new thread... well, let's just say I'm glad you were just commenting on a news story!!! *hugs*
