Am watching *Wall-E* again, and boy do I identify with him:

1) Wall-E is stuck with cleaning up a gigantic mess left behind by Other People who have literally "moved on" and left him behind.

2) If he breaks, he has to fix himself. There's no hospital.

3) He is very lonely and has only odd little creatures for companionship.

4) He watches movies for comfort.

What movie do you identify with?

hehe...years ago I had a friend tell me that I reminded him of Melanie Griffith's character in "Crazy in Alabama". So I watched it. She takes off for Hollywood with her abusive husband's severed head in a hatbox. lol.

Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence. Second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience.

I guess I identify with Kevin Spacey in American Beauty.
Except I'm not a guy.
And I don't dream about cheerleaders.
And I didn't get my head blown off at the end.
But I have an odd teenager.
And a (formerly) cheating spouse
And I used to drive an old muscle car.
And the world is a very complicated place, but I'm always hoping to simplify it.

I feel like the son in "the Ref"...

One year becomes two, two years becomes five, five becomes ten and before you know it, you've wasted your whole life on a problem you can't solve. That's one way to spend your life. -rwinger

I will not spend my life this way.

Most days, I feel like Bill Murray's character in "Groundhog Day" with a bit of the flying cow from the movie "Twister" thrown in for good measure.

I identified with Giselle in Enchanted, I like to play pretend, see things as I'd like them to be. That would be so cool to go through the park singing, and everyone else start singing and dancing too.

But Giselle did learn that Real Love is the best, and brought her own magic into the real world and made that a better place.

I love *Enchanted* too, though I have not been able to watch it for some time.

Many a good man has failed because he had a wishbone where his backbone should have been.

We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do that which we think we cannot.
