How long does it take to get over your WS? My WS is apparently in a "committed" relationship with the OW. There are times when I wonder where he is, what he's doing, etc. Other times I could care less. We are divorcing, but it won't be for another year. Will I start to feel less attached once the divorce is final?

I'm in the same boat as you, I don't like this whole process, I feel nieve. I think it's going to take awhile, we just have to push out the thoughts of our ws and take it day by day.

According to Steve Harley, it takes between 6 months and 2 years once you stop having any contact. Everybody processes things differently. The key factor is to stop having contact. It is much harder when there are children involved. It can be done though. Lots of people use intermediaries.

I have as little contact with him as I possibly can. He lives in another state, so I don't have to worry about any face to face contact. He calls the kids 2-3 times a week, and I usually have the kids answer the phone. Two nights ago he called (kids weren't there) and he preceeded to tell me about how one of his friend's and his wife were in the hospital after having a motorcycle accident. I don't even know these people! All I could say was "I'm sorry to hear that". Other than that, we have had a few discussions regarding getting bills getting paid.
