Someone just sent this to me, and it made me chuckle. This is for all the dads.

Nice! My daughter calls me Snoop Daddy Dad. I think I have too much rap music on my MP3 player. And I play a lot of R&B style on the guitar...working on getting some tracks recorded. Ummmm...imagine a cross between Jack Johnson and Robin Thicke. Not sure what everyone's music style is but those two are great to turn with the lights low. Or the only lights being the cascading of a candle flickering in the background.

Here's Robin thicke and a song I like to play for my wife a lot on the guitar and sing to her.

And here is my absolutely favorite song by Jack Johnson

My daughter says I different than the other dads. I have Snoop Dogg, Robin Thicke, Eminem, Disturbed, Dropkick Murphys, etc on my MP3 player...so I listen to cool music. I take her to the comic book store, and we go to the gym together. She says I need to make her a shirt that says "My dad can beat up your dad while wearing a skirt."

That's what I used to say, and I'm on my 3rd one. I hate them, but there aren't many vehicles big enough to accommodate a family of 7.

We have no desire to become a family of 7. Probably wont go past 4, if we actually ever get there.
And an SUV is the way to go.

I know someone who is very proud of making friends with a gal in her neighborhood who told her, "I never would have spoken to you if you'd kept that minivan. Now that you have an SUV, you're cool enough to be friends with."

PROUD--to be so judged by, imho, a very shallow person.

*love my minivan, I make that thing look HAWT, lol*

I love the Disney video part!

That does sound quite shallow CW. I would never go that far, personally my wife and I just prefer SUV's (dont need one yet) to the minivan. Once we have kids we have said her small car gets traded in for an SUV.

I was adamant that I was NOT a minivan person, but when it came time to pry the precious pennies from my tightwad hands, I decided to embrace my inner soccer-mom, Jesus-fish flying self. smile

For real mini-van love, search for "mom my ride" on youtube.

I secretly wanted a mini-van...but with all the traveling we had to do to see family, the gas issue did not appeal to my DH. I have a Hyundai Tucson now, and I pretend it's an SUV smile When DS turned 12, he wanted to take a few friends to a Hollywood Connection about 45 minutes away, so we rented a big old Suburban. I loved driving that thing! The sound system was amazing...and seat warmers!

I pulled my (two-seater German sports car) into a church parking lot this evening and as I was heading into the building did a quick count.

Of the sixteen vehicles parked in the lot, 14 of them were minivans or SUVs.

If it had been a Mormon church, 16 of the 16 vehicles would have been minivans or SUVs. Guaranteed.

And there would have been 30 of them.

Or if it was the Duggars' church it might have been busses. Har! I have nothing against the Duggar family - it just popped into my head.

Considering what happened with the birth of their last child, I'm hoping they're done now. 19 kids. Yikes! A woman's body can only handle so much. Mine's taken enough of a beating from 5. I can't imagine the problems I would have after 19.

In all honesty, at least one thing is good. At least the Duggars can financially provide for all of their children.

One year becomes two, two years becomes five, five becomes ten and before you know it, you've wasted your whole life on a problem you can't solve. That's one way to spend your life. -rwinger

I will not spend my life this way.

It's my understanding that the Duggar's provide for their kids financially by exploiting them on television, though I do much prefer them to the Gosselin's. What a mess they made out of everything.
