Some very important lessons I've learned in life:

1. We're all human beings, that being said not one of us is capable of perfection.
If we had been, it wouldn't have been necessary for Jesus to die for us, but
GOD loves us just the way we are.

2. As humans, we have free will. This means we can choose.

3. Although my childhood wasn't perfect, I choose to remember all the wonderful things
about it, and not let any of the bad stuff ruin my future.

4. I choose not to hold on to bitterness, resentment, anger, or hurt. These negative
emotions can destroy those that harbor them.

5. I make mistakes, we all do. I choose to forgive myself so that GOD and others can forgive me. I try hard to learn from my mistakes, I don't want to waste time making the same ones over and over. Nor will I let pride make me unwilling to admit my mistake and ask forgiveness.

6. I can't control the world or change anyone in it. I can only control and change myself.

7. If I'm not perfect, why should I expect anyone else to be.

8. Never say or do something to someone else that you wouldn't want them to do to you.

9. Never expect to receive something that you're not willing to give FIRST.

10. Give others, especially those you love the benefit of the doubt. This is easier if
you spend time just truly listening when they talk to you. It's worth taking the
time to get to know their hearts. Share yours with them so they know you too.

11. If you don't like yourself, change. Because if you can't like or respect yourself
how can you expect anyone else to.

12. Life is how you see it. You can choose to focus on the negative or look at all the
good things you have. I choose to look at all the wonderful blessings I've been
given and know that life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

13. Only GOD is qualified to judge me or anyone else, thankfully he's a judge of the
heart, and knows that when I do something wrong, it was never done deliberately or with malice. My heart at least was pure.

14. Everything happens for a reason. Most of the time it's because there's something
I need to learn. I don't fight it, but embrace every opportunity because I know I'm going to come out a better person. Everything I've been through has made me the person I am today.

15. The one thing that most people will tell you they regret, is wasting precious time
worrying. Worry will not change one thing. Most of the time the thing you worry about never happens anyway. I can handle whatever comes my way, because GOD is with me and I don't ever have to face it alone.

16. I choose to have a good marriage. My husband and I have both had bad relationships
we've even had some nasty arguments in the beginning. We agreed that saying ugly,
hurtful things to each other will destroy a marriage. We decided our relationship
was too special to ruin and we refuse to lash out at each other in anger. We love each other enough to control ourselves.

17. You can't take any thing with you when you leave this world, except your memories,
the things you've learned and the love you've had.

18. I choose every day to be in love with my husband. I choose every day to be happy
and at peace. I choose to see the good around me and not let negativity suck me in.
I choose to open my heart and live. I choose never to regret trying.

All that being said, I can truly say that learning these things have set me FREE. I am HAPPY, filled with HOPE and PEACE. I'm madly in love with my husband and know that he feels exactly the same about me. My life is GOOD. I have the POWER to CHOOSE!!!

I am touched and encouraged by your post. I needed that today. The Lord is doing a great work in your M. Cleave to Him and you will never be disappointed. May God's hand continually be on you!
