My rehab instructor at the raptor center asked me if we wanted to go down back home and pick up a couple of turtles and take them to Jeckyll Island rehab center. The girl there called Monteen to see if I would do it.
I couldn't get the day off to fly them, I called my ex-brother in law first because he has a plane also. His medical is lapsed so he is grounded for now. Then as a last hope I called my old flight instructor, to my surprise he gladly stepped in and helped out. He said that I was a great student and good friend from the past. We chatted about me and my situation and recovery. He had his right leg almost destroyed in a plane crash and mine was severely injured from the gunshot wound.
Well, the turtles are three days earlier to the lifesaving help they need.
Perry is a saint.
I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
Maybe he should change his U/N to "The_Penguin" instead of "Pariah," then.
The Batman jokes aside, I think it's wonderful that you help the feathered friends.
One year becomes two, two years becomes five, five becomes ten and before you know it, you've wasted your whole life on a problem you can't solve. That's one way to spend your life. -rwinger

Actually I got this on the way home to celebrate. We are going to drop two off at the center on the way to lunch today for Monteen and her friend. We are going up to a seafood restaurant for lunch where the owner is from South Mississippi. He makes THE best gumbo and poboys I have ever had.
