I googled in the hopes of finding some information and hope on what to do when one's spouse is depressed. I found this website and through tear blurred eyes I saw this forum.
I am an active church goer or regular religious person. But I feel so helpless.
My husband has pushed me away after 2 months of marriage. He's depressed - no longer interested in work (his dream job!), in things that made him happy, etc. He says that he revolves around me and doesn't want it to be that way anymore. He doesn't want a divorce, but wants space and time. I'm finding it very difficult to do that, even though I've gone through the same emotions. My solution was move across the country... all before I found him.

Please help. Please pray for him.
I found myself talking to God more often.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray for this couple that you would help them understand their true emotional needs. I pray that each would examine and communicate what those needs are. Father I know what the grip of depression is like, but a person must choose to do something about it. I pray for this husband that he would seek medical help for his depression and that you Lord would strengthen him to want to enjoy life again. Lord we know running from problems is not the answer, but so often that is how we feel. So Lord I pray for another solution to enter this couples life and give them hope and peach. Lord I thank you for listening to our prayers for you are a God of mercy, grace and blessings.

We pray these things in Jesus name,
Amen
