I got up at 5:20 am and rebuilt the fire and have been on line with my friends and a cup of coffee...it's peaceful here...there's still a bit of snow outside and lots more heading my way starting tomorrow.
I have a lot to do and should be getting started but my Christmas to myself is to start the day in a lazy way... smile In a few minutes I'll hit the kitchen and walk the dogs and greet my kids (one's in bed and the others are coming later), but for now, I'm saying hello to my special on-line friends!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Merry Christmas KC and MB!

Like you, I got up early, had some coffee, and then went for a run. I must have looked much like one of Santa's elves, as I had on a red cap, green shirt and white snowflake-festooned socks. smile

In a few minutes, my daughter's mother and her husband will be arriving.

Yes, that's right - the furnace in their home has gone out, so I'm opening my house to have everyone gather in one place for a "potluck" dinner. I baked a loaf of bread, exW is bringing a turkey, daughter and ex's husband's daughter (I don't know what sort of six degrees relationship that makes her) are bringing veggies and dessert.

Although I'm on speaking terms with exW, I confess I had to get out of my comfort zone to make this offer. But Christmas is all about the spirit of giving, so I'm doing what I think is the right thing.

Peace on earth to all. C.S. Lewis once wrote something to the affect that we should not forget that we are souls with bodies, not the other way around...

It's snowing here in Atlanta on Christmas for the first time in a hundred years.

I hope things went well for you, Fred. That was kind, indeed, but with a turkey in tote I think I could handle it! smile
