I'm wondering if there is any real difference between the home study courses and just buying the books that seem to cover the same material. Can anyone who has used the courses give me some insight? Thanks.

The online seminar (that's what the study course is, right?) is much better because you get an accountability coach, DVDs and you also have lifetime access to the private boards where Dr Harley helps posters...

We are doing the homestudy- the dvd's, audio, and books, workbooks, but not an accountability coach. That can be added if need be later.

I don't know how to answer your question- I'm glad I have the workbooks and all and not just the textbook.

I went and looked it up and you are right, the homestudy course is different than the online seminar (which we just signed up for). Not sure on the price difference.

MBJG, do you access to the private forum and Dr Harley with the homestudy package?

No, the access to Dr. Harley's private forum is part of the accountability package that comes with the seminar, and not available with the homestudy course.

(We bought the homestudy course in 2006 and attended the seminar and signed up for the accountability program in 2010.)

Thanks Markos! I have to say, the accountability/private forum access seems well worth the extra cost...

I believe if you do the online program you also get access to the weekend forum and Dr Harley/accountability coach.

We purchased the home study course 5 years ago and it was great. It's different to just getting the books.

It's been a few days since you posted that. Would you still recommend it to others? Is it pretty straightforward...do you just pop the DVD in and it goes from there?

Thanks for any insight.
