Yesterday, our Executive Committee got behind an idea that has made some very deserving families very happy. We have been working with a national organization, Our Military Kids, and are donating seven of our Firm's Super Bowl tickets for use by families who have sacrificed so we all can live in a safe and secure country. Among other things, Our Military Kids provides grants to children of deployed National Guardsmen and Military Reservists, as well as children of Wounded Warriors from all branches of the military. They have helped find us very special families who are so excited and grateful to be able to attend the Super Bowl.
We are remodeling & adding onto our house. Part of that plan is a brand new roof. Yesterday, the roofers had to move our satellite dish. When that part of the roof was installed, they put the dish back exactly as it was. Except, now the dish does not get any signal. None. Zero.
The "dish fixers" can't be here until tomorrow AM. Why? Because they are at their homes watching the game, that's why. No SuperBowl.
We went through all the "steps" to restore the signal with the satellite customer service. Nada. They need to come out here.
Silicon Valley anyone? Any Silicon Valley suggestions for a good place to watch the game that does not include a bunch of drunk people?
I told our contractor we were showing up at his house He looked frightened.
My 11 y/o daughter, after polling the 11 y/o boys in her class, has taken the Steelers in a $10 bet with me. I asked for points and she wouldn't give them to me.
So, even know they couldn't even beat the Detroit Lions about 9 weeks ago...I'm stuck cheering for the Packers.
The Steelers just didn't look loose enough at the beginning, so my prediction was The packers just based on that.
Now its almost halftime and the steelers are making too many mistakes.
The best commercial so far was Joan Rivers as a GoDaddy Girl. I still remeber her makin Plastic surgery jokes in the 70s. Lol.
Guess Ill root for the Packers cuz the steelers here are Public Enemy #1, but I just wanna see a close contest or its not worth it. Back to the game sports fans
