I filed for divorce after many years trying to make things work. I was so afraid to file and although I have a protection order... I am still very afraid! And so here is the confusing part.... after all that I have been through with my husband.... Why am I so sad? Why do I feel so sick? Why do I miss him after all that has happened (verbal, emotional and at times physcial abuse? What the heck is wrong with me.....how can I have all of these emotions at one time?

I'm sorry you're at this sorry time in your life, Partners. Could it be that you are mourning the death of your dream of a happy marriage?

Perhaps... I am not totally sure what I am feeling. I just know it is not good. I am just taking one day at a time.

I'm sorry you're at this sorry time in your life, Partners. Could it be that you are mourning the death of your dream of a happy marriage? I think that maritalbliss is right. When you are still trying to save the marriage, you still have hope that someday you will get to live "happily ever after." Once you make the decision to divorce, you are headed in a completely different direction and it's not the life you that you were going to have. I just want to encourage you that life DOES get better. A year from now, you will realize that you were in a fog and that you made the right decision to protect yourself from your abuser.
Me: BS 51 Himself: WH 53, EA/PA w/ RunnerSlut his "running buddy." Buncha' kids. The two youngest are still minors. Separated: 08/13/09 after 25 years of marriage Plan D: Filed 11/13/09 Final 3/30/11 MC told me that he probably has a personality disorder
