I have a young daughter and mostly raise her by myself. I am very protective over her and don't just bring anyone around. I have met someone new, and they are absolutely great... Loving, friendly, caring, selfless,...everything you'd want in a spouse.

Is it fair to marry again?? What about the other person, they don't have any kids yet and have never been married... Am I asking for the impossible here??

I'm not scared of being married again, but I certainly don't want to go through anything like I already have...

So the question is... How do you know when/if it's ok to marry again?? How do I protect my little angel and keep what's best for her??

There is a lot of reading on this site. Lots of questions to ask of yourself too.

How long were you married?
Why did you divorce?
How long divorced?
How long have you known this person?
Have you read through the compatibility article? ( Choosing the right one to marry )
How old is your dd?
Does she have a relationship/see her father?

Do you want more children?
Are you a man or woman and why are you being vague about that?

Um... Asking the impossible? No. Provided that you are both entirely on the same page about having bio children together and how you'll raise your daughter.

A book I really like is Will Our Love Last? Picking someone who is really compatible with you is important to long-term success. I'm not talking the compatibility that comes from liking the same things. I'm talking risk tolerance, neatness, values, spending habits, energy levels and more. Life is easier when you don't have to POJA everything because you already agree.

I would say you need to gradually build the time your possible spouse spends with you and your daughter. See who that goes. See how much conflict that creates over an extended period of time.
