I agree that Jacob Lusk has an incredible voice, but I always have to ask myself if I would buy an album done by the contestant. For me, it's unlikely that Jacob would fit the bill...
So far my faves are Paul McDonald and, OF COURSE, the rocker James Durbin...
Durbin's sound is more reminiscent of Adam Lambert -- which naturally means an instant "thumbs up" from me!

Well, James is from this part of the woods. Santa Cruz is my old home town. It's about 25 miles from here. The whole town is rooting for him, including me.
I loved that James gave such high praise to Paul, A Beatle. Maybe Paul will finally be on the show this season.
I loved last night. IMO, boys much stronger than girls this year. Having said that, everyone is good. Not a clinker in the bunch. I love judges table this year. I <>heart<> Steven Tyler. He is one year older than me. Maybe that's why! LOL The judge mix totally works. They make the show more about the contestants and NOT about any judge-to-judge drama. I totally like that.
Who do you think is going? Or, should I say, which girl?
I enjoy Adam as well, but not when he gets too dirty with his stage moves.
Imma throw my hat into the ring here and throw out some comments:
*Ashthon was a victim of poor song choice, I think - I was always impressed with her singing, but song choice was very "eh" *Thia is too young, and while she may have some stage theatrics down, I think she needs some real life experience to add dimension to her singing. I think this is applicable in some respects to all of the show's young'uns. *I do like James and Paul, and I hope they continue to increase the number of styles they can sing (I mean, Judas Priest was nice, but not all the time, KWIM?)

I agree with you on this too -- I thought he did a great job keeping it toned down on Idol last week -- Our DD11 said something that I thought was very funny about him that night: "Mom, he wasn't even wearing his usual GAY-UP"! I had not heard that term before!
