Yesterday I got a new assignment from my temp agency. I was going to go work in some factory. Alright, so I get there, and get told I have to wear this heavy smock, which makes sense--they don't want us contaminating the bottles, or anything like that. Unfortunately, it was also very hot, and my dumb butt has never liked drinking water.

I get nauseated, and dizzy, and start to head out towards the bathroom. A coworker, "Gator" was following me, and she was walking right beside me after a few moments.

Which was a good thing, because my body chose that exact moment to pass out.

If "Gator" hadn't been there, I'd have cracked my head on the floor.

So thank you very much, Gator! smile

And yes, I am fine now. Spent several hours in the hospital, getting fluids and whatnot. At this point they still think it's just dehydration. But my EKG seemed to have them thinking there might be a contributing factor in my heart, so in a few days they're going to get me a heart monitor which I'll wear for about two days.

Good for Gator! And glad you are feeling better, young lady. Maybe you can get an assignment in a cushy air conditioned office next time? smile

If only I could get that...the staffing agency wants a note from the doctor saying I am clear to go back to work before they'll give me any assignment, though! Sigh.

It stinks, because I need the work rather quickly...ah, well, better this way, I suppose. smile

As the story started out I thought you were going to be somehow working with real to goodness "gators" somehow. Maybe processing them as food, boots or pets somehow at the local Gator Factory.

Hope you are feeling better soon and it's nothing you'd choose wrestling a gator ahead of.

Given I barely weigh 100 pounds, I don't see that happening. rotflmao
