Just thought I would share this lovely example of EP's in action I experienced today.

I was outside the office, in between showers and one of the contractors made a comment about every time he took his jacket off cos it was sunny, the rain started. I quipped back that he must in that case keep it on for the remainder of the summer to ensure sunshine.

I was not flirting, was not even interested but he instantly began to tell me how much he loves his wife, she is the love of his life and never expected to meet someone who made him feel like that.

He went on to tell me he met her when he was going through his divorce but that she refused to go out for a drink with him till he was divorced, she didn't play with married men.

I had never met this guy before, but thanked him and told him he had made my day by being so in love and so happy that he could tell a perfect stranger.

Just thought I would share that. I can't imagine my WH ever saying similar.

I admit I was a bit jealous!!

I have a story too when I was in the Dominican I met some couples from Minnesota, 1 couple, had 4 kids and had been married for 18 years and we were all sitting in the hot tub not knowing each other when some comment was made about the woman giving her husband a hug and kiss and her getting up and saying I can hug you too, then the woman went to the man's wife and said I will only hug him as a joke if it is alright with you because marriage is the most important thing to me and my husband..............I thought to myself this is a woman I could be friends with...........my husband(wwh) sat there next to me and watched a woman that could be respected..........too bad the AP's in this world didn't think this way about the sacredness of marriage.......It gave me hope back that some people in this world are decent respectful people.
just wanted to share.
