My daughter informed me of the death of one of her high school friends. Deanna Miller died while hiking Mount Princeton near Denver, Colorado on July 2, after being struck by a boulder during a thunderstorm. The story can be read here.

What the news reports don't say is that Deanna Miller was training to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa as a tribute to her sister Debbie, who was killed a little over a year ago during a mission trip.

It's said that no parent should have to bury a child, but for one mother, losing her only two daughters in the span of a year is a tragedy beyond comprehension.

Please say a prayer for the family of Debbie and Deanna Miller, and may God hold them forever in his loving embrace.

Oh no. That is such a tragedy. Saying a prayer for peace and comfort for that family and for your daughter.
