How can I tell if there is already a keylogger program already on our computer.

Being a idiot when it come to computer stuff.

Is there a free key logger program I can download.

I did one, but my nortons anti virus wouldn't let me acess the spyware program so I deleted the program.

I really would appreciate some technical support to at least let me acess my husbands yahoo e-mail account.

HS, you can easily program Norton to ignore the keylogger. Another option is to install eblaster or spectorpro, but they are pricey. It costs $100 but it is real easy to use and does a good job. spectorsoft.com

H&S ~
Open your antivirus...
See if there is a "CONFIGURATION" button...
Click it...
When it opens, go to:
"Expert Mode" ~ Check the box...
See if there is a box that says "Scanner"...
If there is, click on it...
Under "Scanner", there should be a "Scan" button...
Click on it...
Under "Scan", there should be a button called "EXCEPTIONS"...
Click on it...
If someone has already placed a keylogger in your computer, the settings for the keylogger will be in the box that is displayed in "EXCEPTIONS"...
If there is ANY THING in that box, someone has configured your antivirus to "Allow" the keylogger to run in your computer...
If you see something in the "Scanner", that means you need to look in the "Guard" section of your antivirus (Which should be in the same section as "Scanner")...
In the "Guard" section, go through the same steps outlined above ...
If there is a keylogger in your computer, you will see the settings under "Exceptions"...
Hope this helps...
I have Avira Antivir Personal.
If all else fails, just contact your antivirus software and ask them for step-by-step instructions to find out how to see if there are any "Exceptions" in your program...
I think it is possible for a keylogger to be installed in computers via remote by persons unknown...
So, it may be possible for someone to have installed a KL without configuring your antivirus...
I'm learning more about this stuff too!
Good luck!!!
