Do husbands who divorce their wives and marry their mistresses ever come back to their families? frown Or does their second marriage (to the mistress) often signify that even if their second marriage falls apart, they will never return?

What are you actually fishing for? Your other thread was not referencing this.

i was just asking a general question. and yes, it does refer to my other thread because my friend's father married his mistress and i am interested in hearing if anybody else has experience with the father moving away and then coming back.

It's funny you ask that. I thought about that when I was reading you thread.

People can do anything. People divorce, marry someone else, and then remarry their original spouse years later. There's no crystal ball to tell us what will happen in your friend's case. But if I had to wager, I'd say his current marriage is so fragile and built on so much deception that I would be surprised if it lasted five years. (Even less if your friend confronts OW/wife and her family.)The fact that he removes his ring and waffles over acknowledging his current wife tells me he feels guilty, which indicates a conscience in his mind, however buried it may be right now.

So, yes, people do go back to their original marriage. If your friend's father will remains to be seen.

Sometimes it's too late and the BS has moved on and wants nothing to do with the ex.

If my ex came back right now I'd laugh in her face. I'm happily remarried.
