Well as this year winds down to give way to 2012 I sometimes get nostalgic. That's just me. This headline on a divorce between Katy Perry and Brandon (whoever) appeared on my MSN home page. Only reason I use the MSN is that internet searches are lots better in my opinion than any other vehicle. I'll admit I do not know who these two people are! Apparently they are famous for something - hence the term 'celebs'. I realize also that this marriage was most likely a business arrangement. Point is that the writers of this (and most likely publicists) appear to feel that a marriage lasting 14 months is a big deal, and that the breakup is a national concern! And, that many people will be dismayed! Well apparently fools follow fools in this day, and that is why this news is important to some, I am sure that the fools who hinge their life and well-being being on this crap are upset.

I'd love to see a headline something like "John and Nancy" just celebrated 70 years of marriage. It would not sell! The fools would be upset seeing evidence that MOST people do not live their lives vicarioulsy, but they live them unselfishly and they respect the sacrament of marriage. Am happy where I am now, but this assault on the minds and morals of youhger people today is appalling.
