As I slip silently into bed
I see her head resting like granite on the bed next to me
Heavy as an anvil, her fiery tresses surround her.

I stretch and prepare for the nights slumber
and feel the gentle elbow to my ribs
As my beauty nestles next to me for the night

Cold feet caress me and halitosis surrounds me
my shirt is soaked with drool as her head heavily rests upon my chest
I try and shift, comfort escapes me!

Gently I whisper...I love you my dear
She responds with a grunt, a mumble, and a more nestling
Ah, the life of the Married man.

I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Granite heads; anvil tresses; halitosis and drool; ribs-n-elbows . . .

I'd like to have that 20 seconds of my life back!

I'm right there with ya on this one, CV. The only thing you missed was the snoring! I'd love to see that issue poetically expressed!

I can only say "God bless the man who invented Breathe Strips!" And then I thank Him for the man next to me who wears those same strips (after my gentle poke in the ribs) grin!

I was gonna include snoring, but I can't hear her snore over all the noise I make... and I don't wanna catch an elbow tonight. TEEF
